♥ CWS Styling Event: Fourth of July Theme "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" ♥

As Americans head out for their Fourth of July celebrations, it is a time of reflection, pride, and appreciation. Many individuals will express these feelings by the patriotic clothing they will wear in honor of our nation's birthday.  

For my patriotic expression, I chose to wear this formal and free-flowing "Freedom" Flexi Gown that celebrates our American flag. It is at once a fashion statement, a symbol of the love of country, and its values that I cherish and hold most dear to me. 

For me, the rich colors of red, white and blue symbolize our Nation's Creed of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 

We should never take these words lightly or for granted, and for what our freedom has cost us. 

I composed this ensemble with these vivid colors reminiscent of the 4th of July firework displays that illuminate the night skies during our wonderful celebrations. 

And, most of all, it pays tribute and honor to our country that was founded on democratic principles and freedom.

I paired this patriotic Lili's Freedom Gown with complementary red, white, and blue mess boots. 

I further accessorized the gown with matching jewelry, and some Vogue red & white glitter sequins to my left eye for some sparkle to complement the sequins in the gown (and thus complete the look). I also decided to wear my braided cornrows (in white pearl) for a more seamless appearance.
