Swank Event's August '19 Showcases FlowerDream’s Mira Lingerie & Makeup Collection - Its look is Soft, Effortless and Very Sensual

The term "lingerie" is derived from the French word “linge” (linen) which
was the original material from which undergarments were traditionally made.

Lingerie as a word was first used to describe underwear and bras in 1922.

It later became a common term which moved lingerie beyond pragmatic
function - defining intimate undergarments for sexual enticement
and pleasure behind closed bedroom doors.

This FlowerDream’s Mira Lingerie collection is a beautiful and sexy example
of such sexual enticement and pleasure. Its’ look is soft, effortless and sensual.

Its' Babydoll long shirting creates a translucent veil, allowing a
sneak peek of your beautiful body and tempestuous laced panties

When Victoria's Secret entered the market in the late 1970s, it delivered
affordable lace thongs and padded satin bras to middle-class women which
contributed to making sexy lingerie commonplace in the bedroom.

From its’ early nostalgic beginnings to today's more edgy and fashion-forward
trends, its intention was and remains universal. albeit in very different forms.

So ladies, for that extra touch of tease, slip into FlowerDream's
sexual inspired, refreshingly lightweight and delicate Mira Lingerie ensemble.

This stunning Mira Babydoll lingerie ensemble is the soufflé to your femininity,
soul and passion. It is offered in pink, blue, red, white, yellow, plum and black.

Within this lingerie set, Nile Karas complements its beauty with two
Mira Makeup sets which includes eyeliner, eyelashes and lipstick –
all effortlessly woven with skin-perfecting color enrichments and highlights.

The lipstick is wonderfully done with red to pink pigmentation and light refracting highlights which enhances your beautiful smile for that naturally fresh and perfected look.

For the August "Around the World Swank Event," Hawker's House Clothing Proudly Introduces the Sekushi Reiki Mini Dress - A Mini which possesses seductive mystical power & energy.

Japanese fashion is influenced by its historic culture.

In the Japanese culture, the crane represents good fortune and longevity,
referring to the crane as the “bird of happiness” and as a symbol of eternal youth.

The most prominent feature on this beautiful Hawker's House Clothing's (HH)
Sekushi Reiki Mini Dress is its' large graceful crane print.

Japanese cranes are the largest birds in Japan and are considered
"special natural monuments,"  known as "tancho" (red mountain).

The crane is a mystical creature and is believed to live for a thousand years.

The crane symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of this fabled
life span. Its’ use in Japanese fashion reflects their culture's
visible artistic and traditional values.

HH transfigures this artistry and tradition into this stunning
red HH Sekushi Reiki Mini Dress. The color (red) is also
a symbol of Asian culture for good fortune and prosperity.

I love how the arrayed delicate straps of this mini connects to the apex and
center front gore locations of its sweetheart neckline and how it caresses my
shoulders and chest - complementing both this dress’ aesthetic and color scheme.

This newly released mini dress at Swank Events August serves as an iconic reminder of Japan’s rich culture. I added the sleeves and the boots to express more of the Japan’s Street Fashion styling which is very prevalent in today’s youth culture.

This younger generation in Japan often combines traditional kimono prints with modern styles in fashion. They usually mix and match their own style collections to be inspired.

The word “Sekushi” in Japanese translates to “sexy.” The term “Reiki” is actually
a form of alternative medicine called "energy healing."

Combined, this mini dress makes a very powerful sensual statement -
for it possesses a universal sexual energy which is certain
to attract “flocks” of men to your beckon call.

Swank Events August 2019 Introduces the Luxe Paris Cyber Chic Outfit - Fashion for Beyond the Thunderdome!

Today in the fashion world we are experiencing the next evolutionary phase
of clothing as it relates to cyber computer technology and how that
changes the way we think and react to clothing aesthetics.

As a Cybergirl, I enjoy the infusion of computer art with that of fashion
and the wonderful realms of the 3D virtual worlds here in Second Life.

Cyber technology and fashion needs to be combined tastefully to make for a winning creation. Take this monochromatic  Luxe Paris Cyber Chic Top, Pant & Hat outfit.

It is an excellent example of fashion forward design infused with a
cyber-influenced aesthetics which is about to catch fire in the fashion industry.

This style also draws a lot of inspiration from popular apocalyptic and
post-apocalyptic cyber fiction films such as the Riddick series,
The Book of Eli, The Road and The Hunger Games.

This particular Luxe Paris Cyber Chic design draws influences from other
alternative styles as well. It takes the industrial and DIY look of
the Rivethead, Victorian influences of Steampunk, and asymmetric
futuristic cuts of clothing from Cyberpunk and Cyber Goth

However, unlike Cyber Goth and Cyber Punk style clothing with their
hoods and multi-layers of black clothing, the Cyber Chic style relies on
taut fashion-durable fabrics like sturdy leathers, stretchy fabrics and wool.

Fashion in this new millennium is brash and it doesn’t stop to ask for
permission to explore cyber space as a fashion statement.

Our intelligence, our creative passions, our historical influences and
our sexuality are all necessary ingredients of fashion.

This Luxe Paris Cyber Chic Top and Pant Outfit is the epitome of such fashion.

There is nothing juvenile about this very chic outfit. It has a cyber-robotic
quintessence about its vocabulary which melds 19th century
burlesque corsetry with that of post-apocalyptic battle fashion.

Rock the apocalypse in style with this futuristic cyber chic dream.

This chic and savvy outfit comes with a beret hat with coordinated piping,
a beautiful buckled, black legion corset top with filigree inlays and
sexy black, stretchy high waist fitness gym open knee hole leggings.

It is Truly Fashion for beyond the Thunderdome!

Swank Events August '19 Introduces the TLG Bali Bound Bikini Collection - offering both chic styling and flexibility with Balinese fashion flair.

Both growing up and living in California, one of my favorite things to wear
for extended summer outings, whether it is to the beach or to a lakeside
gathering, is a coordinated outfit which provides me with the
most flexibility for both the weather and outdoor events.

Itty-bitty bikinis and strapless one-pieces look great, however they
probably aren't the most practical swimsuits to wear, especially if you
are like me and like to stay active at the beach or pool.

Finding an option that's not only stylish but also does more for you
than just lounging in the sun has always been problematic.

The TLG Bali Bound Bikini provides the perfect solution -
offering both chic styling and flexibility with Balinese fashion flair.

I absolutely identified with this TLG Bali Bound Swimwear ensemble.
Wdesigned our island paradise with Balinese influences.

Balinese architecture is one of the most popular Asian tropical
architectural styles. It has its indigenous roots within the biophilic
principles of harmony & nature infused into its design.

Our island theme in SL reflects the design philosophy of “Arga Segara,”
which is the sacred axis between mountains and the oceans.

Bali has been coined the “island of the gods” for its strong religious
practices and its plethora of temples that reside on the island.

Its architecture creates harmony & balance between the 3 elements of life –
the atma (for human), angga (for nature), and khaya (for gods).

With its gorgeous beaches, picturesque mountains and quiet countryside,
the Island of Bali has become a top destination spot as well as
a significant design influence in the world of architecture and fashion.

When this TLG Bali Bound ensemble first caught my eye at this month’s Swank
Events, I immediately took it into the fitting room to study its aesthetics.

To achieve the perfect balance between glam and comfort, the women
of Bali have traditionally worn a colorful kebaya paired with a batik kamben
which is very similar to a sarong which is tied around their waist.

There's no doubt that this swimsuit, jacket and sarong combo, with its
culturally rich Bali batik and kamben influences, will certainly
add personality and sass to your strut this Summer.

Bali batik floral brocade texturing is reflected on the jacket, bikini
top and bottoms of this Baii Bound Bikini outfit.

On Bali, the batiks are normally designed and made specifically for quilters.
I think that TLG did an excellent job in weaving this Bali Bound outfit
seamlessly together with the Balinese culture. It is absolutely beautiful!

As a part of Balinese culture, these wonderful indigenous patterns are
handmade by master craftspeople. Each design is hand stamped onto the
cloth with slight color variations from roll to roll and color to color.

This five-piece Bali Bound bikini collection by The Looking Glass (TLG) will
ensure that all eyes are on you and for all the right reasons.

This evocative, signature bikini collection is beautiful, practical, playful
and sexy all at once. Although this stunning bikini ensemble might be
considered a vehicle of revelation for showing off your figure,
it also delivers oh so much more.

Its' coordinated jacket, gold-meshed top with braided tassels, polynesian
patterning with accent piping adds to your mysticism, sexiness and grace.

This TLG Bali Bound outfit comes with a HUD-Driven menu which gives you six (6)
different color/pattern choices for fashion-forward swimwear fun all year round.

SWANK Events for August 2019 Introduces the SKBD Steampunk Dress - A dress which reflects the sexy, strong and revolutionary-spirited woman you truly are.

I’m sure that most people know somewhat about Steampunk aesthetic.

Many probably imagine it as an aesthetic vernacular incorporating the use of
industrial metal, pilot goggles, odd top hats, clocks and things that move.

So what exactly is Steampunk fashion and what is this really all about?

Steampunk Fashion has evolved into an imaginative and fantasy-driven
combination of Victorian era fashion with elements and materials inspired
by the Industrial Revolution of the late 19th Century.

Author K.W. Jeter first coined the term “Steampunk” in his 1987 novel Morlock Night.

Propelled by various Sci-fi novels, the Steampunk aesthetic later became
popular in movies, video games, TV shows, and the fashion world.

Steampunk can be best described as a hybrid of old and new: the
tradition of the Victorian period's infusion with that of bold, retro technology.

Like the movie “Road Warrior" starring Mel GibsonSteampunk is
the juxtaposition of post-apocalyptic fantasy and the romantic
allusion of drama intertwined with that of revolution.

These combined elements create an absolutely magical vernacular when
applied to fashion. This retro fashion movement has not only grown
its own unique culture -  but it has gotten the attention of today's mainstream
fashion world.  Steampunk fashion is currently on the rise once again.

Although there are many different features of Steampunk fashion, one of
the more historical components is the Steampunk corset as evidenced by this
spectacular SKBW Steampunk Dress premiered this month at Swank Events.

The corset was one of the biggest staples during Victorian period, and today
it reigns supreme as one of the biggest staples in Steampunk fashion.

The bodice of this SKBW Steampunk Dress features an under the wire curved cup
bodice with detailed boning and a beautifully crafted ribbon trimmed waist
which defines it ruffled short min skirting.

The reinforced steel boning of this SKBW Steampunk Dress gives this
corset a look of great strength by appearance - cinching in your waist
and accentuating the curve of your hips and bustline.

What makes this SKBW corset mini dress so special and so indicative
of Steampunk is the eye-catching, technology-inspired retro
compass and mapping textures incorporated into its bodice.

Not only does this design pay tribute to both the femininity and tradition
of the Victorian period with that of the adventuresome Industrial Revolution
but wearing this dress reflects the sexy, strong and revolutionary-spirited
woman that you truly are.

Swank Events August '19 Premiers the SAS Chloe Glitter Blush Dress & Jacket - A Splendid Example of Chic Street Fashion

As a model here in Second life, taking quality photos of the outfits I model for vendors often comes down to finding a good location which is suitable for the outfit.

That said, Second Life provides a plethora of places to snap the perfect outfit shot.

There are several places where you can find a beautiful backdrop for your
photos. Just look into your Flickr to explore some incredible and pretty
amazing worlds which are just a click and a jump away.

Girl's .. Don't attempt this climb in heels...lol

In an ongoing effort to educate and introduce the many, many wonderful
locations here in SL, every month I will feature one location and provide its’
url link so that my readers can enjoy and partake in the same
splendid scenery that I use as backdrops for my modeling.

This month, I am modeling this gorgeous blush pink and white
SAS Chloe Glitter Blush Dress & Jacket as an exclusive for Swank Events,
August 2019 - It's stunningly beautiful, fresh and YOU!

For many here, getting access to a secret garden can be a bit of a luxury
because they are private, but many places here offer gardens that you can use

Calas Galadhon’s New Santorini is one such place -
It is such a gorgeous place to experience and enjoy with
its many hidden treasures. The modeling photography shown here
within the context of this blog are selected shots of the New Santorini.

Extraordinary beautiful white painted villages, blue-domed churches
and paved paths are all lovingly and painstakingly recreated
here in Second Life for us to appreciate and enjoy.
Ty and Truck have magically captured the essence  of Santorini’s Cycladic architecture.

It is perfectly okay to introduce additional biophilic colors to your presentation.
Just remember to have the colors in your dress harmonize with those around you.

No matter where in Second Life you visit, you can also find an interesting
colored wall somewhere nearby. This photo for example is taken at my SL home,
using the Hurricane Frolic ART DREAMS painting by Jolie as a backdrop to this dress.

Note that the same background color used in Jolie’s painting is a spot-on
match to the blush pink color of this SAS Chloe Glitter Blush Dress & Jacket.

To appreciate art, one must see Jolie Parfort's timeless work.
In addition to her paintings, she captivates
your heart with this beautiful Mystery Vase Set.

Sidewalk or garden pathways are great places to take photos.
However, much depends on how you take the photos and the lighting you choose.
I love to play with the Windlight settings to capture the perfect mood.

Since the introduction of “street style” fashion, I have found that streets and paths
have been a very great place to shoot. What makes them unique is that often times
you get enough clear space to get good depth of field.

For these types of shots, you want to get the ground plane
minimized as much as possible, and to do this you set your camera
at a low angle and shoot upward (it also gives you longer legs too).

Also, please notice that in most of my shots I love the juxtaposition of
diagonal lines with vanishing points. Very often I will take a photo at a lower
angle to dramatize this. Just be sure that the horizon line (where the
ground meets the sky) is carefully considered otherwise you
will just get a boring photo of your avi on the sidewalk.

Staircases make great subject matter because you get a sense that
this scene is just a fleeting moment and that you are venturing along its climb.

You can sit, stand, walk up, walk down, get a lot of different angles
with a stair. Plus the horizontal lines of the stairs (like this one at the
New Santorini) adds subtle clean texture to the photo.

Just be sure your outfits don't get lost in the photos since, with so many
things going on at these places, it can easily happen. Enjoy your journey!
