Giulia's Nesli Dress: The Mad Hatter Meets Missoni Down the Rabbit Hole

As a designer and artist in RL, I am naturally drawn to creative, unusual, and the "not-so-normal" side of fashion.

In Second Life - the normal, everyday look that I
so often run across is less inspiring to me.

At times, many of the styles here tend to bore me.

Not that they don't have value here or given that they may be appropriate for certain events. More often than not however,
many styles just don't spark my imagination.

That’s why this contemporary Avant Garde
Nesli Dress by Giulia Design is such a refreshing surprise
and (to say the least) quite from the norm.

This Nesli dress, with its strikingly geometric
chevron patterns of black & white does a
wondrous take on Mid-century modern fashion.

The chevron pattern has been a design element for centuries, particularly in the fashion industry, where many trends begin.

Missoni has been heralded as the chevron master.  Missoni was
founded in 1953 by Ottavio “Tai” Missoni and wife, Rosita.

They presented their first collection, “Milano-Simpathy,”
in Milan in 1958, and reached the apex of influence
on the fashion world in the early seventies.

That said, Giulia has taken the chevron to another level in design excellence with the introduction of this Nesli Dress.

This Giulia Nesli dress goes bold in appearance with a Mad Hatter type of flair, featuring a darling bell-shaped high-low hem skirt over a
slinky, body-hugging mini with a sexy straight across neckline.

This delightful Nesli Dress by Giulia Design outfit also comes accessorized with a complementing, black & white
gingham box handbag.

And, I just love the eccentric look of the hat
adorned with whimsical petite black & white cubes

and white-feathered appointments.

This finely fashioned gold Suhina Evening Gown by Zaara

This strapless gown features a drop waist elongated bodice
with a sculpted and flounced tuck in the back that

Have yourself a romantic night out in this alluring gown from Zaara.

Wondrous sparkling sequins descend on its evening length
with cross-wrapping at the hips and elongated hemlines.

The charm of this gown shimmers through your next
formal occasion and is sure to make you fall in love.

This asymmetrical wrapped evening length gown
oozes with sex appeal.

Its slinky gold wrap, tantalizing back, and sultry front tulip slit hem finishes to its evening length with sophisticated elegance.

I am also wearing this gown with my latest hairstyle in
a sleek, streaked and straight 'do.

I accessorized this with matching floral earrings, necklace and bracelet. I also paired it with classic white pointed toe pumps.

Antara Maxi Dress by Zaara: Fun & Flirtatious with Flair

Meet one of my favorite new dresses...
This stunning Antara Maxi dress in Fuschia by Zaara

This dress boasts a flounce top which drapes the body while the
maxi length slims the silhouette for a perfect feminine look.

I love the delicate looking double spaghetti straps
with its criss-cross back and single-stitched piping.

The sweetheart neckline is refined by a nipped-in waist
that creates a draped blouson bodice.

The graduated fuchsia color of this maxi transitions from a solid appearance at its top then down into delightful watercolor floral patterning adds to the romantic aesthetic of this dress.

This Antara Maxi Dress by Zaara is one type of dress that
can fit just about any occasion.

It also looks flattering on just about every body type.

Whether it is for your upcoming Fourth of July party or an outdoor summer wedding, you will look gorgeous in this beautiful maxi.

The Momoko Gown by Giulia Design Sets You Apart From All Others

Ultra glamorous and sophisticated, this breathtaking blue satin mermaid
Momoko Gown by Giulia Design is the epitome of style.

Momoko (桃子, 百子, 杏子, ももこ, モモコ) is a Japanese name for girls.

The style of clothing in Japan has a long history dating back several thousand years.
This particular illustrious style of dress is reminiscent of the traditional dresses found
in both China and Japan which were made of silk due to their softness and lightness.

The structure of this dress is elegant and sophisticated.
Its low cut décolletage, sidecut keyhole waistline and floor-length
mermaid drape evokes both passion and poise at once.

Complemented by an elaborate oriental gold ornamental wedding headdress
with matching hand fans, this gown also speaks of beauty and grace.

Embroidered with rich oriental cherry blossom tree
gold, pink, green and silver patterning set against a stunningly brilliant
blue foundation, this gown sets you apart from all others.

The hand fans are very nice touches to this gown.
The hand fan is a very auspicious symbol, one of both power and societal stature.

The Japanese fan was influenced greatly by the oriental hand fans
of the Han Dynasty in China. In the early days, there were two types
of Japanese fans, the tuan shan "round fan" and the bian mian "screen fan."

The Japanese believe that the top of the handle of the fan symbolizes
the beginning of life and the ribs stand for the roads of life
going out in all directions to bring good fortune and happiness.

Unique's Ascot Floral Purple Mini Dress - Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

Are you readying up for race day?
Then ladies of Ascot and Aintree listen up...
The Royal Ascot is here.

As many British women may know, it is a vital time on the social circuit for those who
love a fancy pony and those, mainly ladies, who love parading about like one.

So, I ask you what woman doesn't enjoy wearing a nice oufit and a face full of warpaint?
That said, put your staunch feminism aside and totter along nicely wearing this marvelous

Unique BoutiQue Ascot Floral Purple Mini Dress.

(And Pussycat… I love the hat!)

Derby dressing is fun, especially if you go all out and wear something
that aspires to the level of absolute cuteness.

That is exactly what this UniQue BoutiQue Ascot Floral Mini Dress delivers with
its flirtatious short length and wonderful floral-banded floppy hat.

This pitch-perfect purple mini dress with its brilliant floral print and
sheer slip teams up with my coordinated jewelry, wedge complementing sandals
and my smoky-blended eye kohl for a stunning, “look-at-me” appearance.

God speed, you glorious British women!

In RL of course, the Ascot bigwigs have a whole new set of guidelines for female attire
rules that apply to the parade - less flesh, no bare shoulders, no barely concealed knockers.

Forget that absurd notion wearing that kind of frock in Second Life!
Here, you can swish your (pony)tail and flaunt your best assets
for all of the men to admire & appreciate.

Glamour is permitted, nay encouraged at The Ascot. And, there is
nothing better than putting a great spin on this pony event here in SL!
