referring to the crane as the “bird of happiness” and as a symbol of eternal youth.

Japanese cranes are the largest birds in Japan and are considered 
"special natural monuments,"  known as "tancho" (red mountain). 

The crane is a mystical creature and is believed to live for a thousand years. 

The crane symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of this fabled 

life span. Its’ use in Japanese fashion reflects their culture's
visible artistic and traditional values.

a form of alternative medicine called "energy healing."
