From the moment we are born, color has a profound effect on everything we experience,
perceive and value through life's journey. As psychoanalyst and Sigmund Freud
collaborator Carl Jung once put it, “Color is the mother tongue of the subconscious.”
When we get up each morning, we go into our wardrobe closet and pick out our clothes.
We also look at the color shades of our lipstick, our blush, highlighters and hair coloring.
Everyone expresses themselves through color - for it factors into how we convey
biophilia's emotion to identity with our natural surroundings and comprehend its meaning.

Thus, Color is so fundamentally innate to our lives. It is also one
of the most fluid yet subjective elements in our universe to identify with.
That said, fashion designers embrace a simple truth when it comes to
consumers and color: Seasons do change and so must our fashion color trends.
So, to keep up with fast-paced seasonal color expectations, I find it interesting that designers are now experimenting with additional fashion seasons such as "Resort” and
“Pre-Fall.” These additive seasons allow designers to experiment with colors and trends -
extending popular color trends to satisfy their customers for as long as plausible.
As a colorist in real life, I have seen how fashion brands spend hours
color-trend forecasting to adapt to the seasonal market conditions –
thus setting these trends in advance rather than reacting to them.
The invention of color HUD driven menu options here in Second Life is the stroke of
genius by invention which bridges and proliferates our color vocabulary choice options.
genius by invention which bridges and proliferates our color vocabulary choice options.
Blueberry is a great example of a fashion designer here who promotes and
embraces these HUD driven color choice options for her clothing designs -
rather than relying completely on the climate of fickle color market trends.
This Blueberry Tinker Set Long Sleeve Top combined with her Poppy Leggings (Fat Packs)
provides me with a diverse spectrum of color choices and options to play with.
This is very astute - because attitudes toward color change all the time.
And, as Divanistas, our ability to change colors & patterns with multiple
combination choices through these HUD driven menus inspires our
fashion styling moods to create beauty in Second Life.
The art of fashion doesn't get much better than this.
