Zaara’s Thalia Draped Gown - Exquisitely Timeless, Ethereal and Noble.

The art of draping dates back to 3500 BC, beginning with the Mesopotamians and Ancient Egyptians.

The Greeks then followed with the invention of draped
silhouettes like the chiton, peplos, chlamys and himation.

Known for the legendary austerity of her exquisite Grecian-inspired dresses, Madame Grès (also known as the “Queen of Drape”) produced haute couture designs for beautiful, fashionable women, duchesses and movie stars like Grace Kelly, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich.

Clearly reminiscent of ancient Greek, Egyptian gowns and
Madame Grès’ draped gowns, there is also something timeless to this
Zaara Thalia Draped Gown, both ethereal and noble.

Zaara’s elegant draped gown gives your figure the justice
and eyes it well deserves. If you have a “slender figure” as I do,
this style gives your figure a sweeping three-dimensional form, reflecting your sense of style and your personality.

Her deep plunging V neckline draws the focus of attention down from your face to your mid-section, where the fabric is then elegantly gathered and then gracefully drapes symmetrically off your hips.

The best body shape for this dress is a balanced body shape.

This is the shape with “no exaggerated curves.”
Your bust, waist and hips are in proportion, with approximately a
10 inch spread between your bust, waist and hip measurements.

The emphasis of an open chest with the deep plunging V neckline is perfectly counterbalanced by the wonderfully center & side draped dimensions at the waist and hips of this gown, then finished in a mermaid-style skirt pooling to the floor for an elegant silhouette.

The Queen of Spades in SL: A Subculture of Taboo or Call to Nature?

The Queen of Spades is one of the 52 cards that is in a normal deck of playing cards. It also represents a woman who is creative and makes her plans on her own without to need anyone’s permission.

Queen of Spades with Tarot cards means something entirely different.

Within the Suit of Swords that belongs to the Court Cards
of the Tarot, the Queen of Spades is a strong-willed woman -
one who is blessed or cursed with a sharp perception
who can also be hard, cold and critical.

Often a shining example of power and authority, the
Queen of Spades embodies the innate ability to achieve.

As born leaders, they sense the need to rise to the top and will experience deep fulfillment when they answer their call to greatness.

Their position in Jupiter on the Crown Line in the Master Spirit Script, sitting right next to the King of Spades, contributes to their ability to shine and be noticed for their talents and gifts.

Intelligent, well-spoken and independent, they are naturals
in positions of public speaking, education and writing - possessing
innovative ideas and excellent communication skills.

There is also an emerging subculture known as Queen of Spades. In this subculture, the Queen of Spades symbol is used with a bracelet, anklet, necklace, on a collar or as a tattoo which has become a tag
for Caucasian women who are willing to serve black masters.

As part of this subculture, it most typically involves getting a tattoo on our bodies which is a Queen of Spades symbol inscribed with the letter “Q.” Often it’s tattooed on calves, posterior, belly or breasts.

I have to admit that there's an excitement to get the tattoo and the thought of wearing this symbol as a commitment to black male sexuality. Like a speak-easy, the tattoo is sometimes kept hidden. However when revealed, it lets potential black lovers
know that she is available.

Beyond just expressing a preference with the tattoo as a statement of self-objectification, it also symbolizes a philosophy behind this subculture – one as being the "property" of black men. It also plays into the desires of pleasing men sexually and being "slaves" to enjoying the feeling of having their enormous size inside them.

For many, it’s a new cultural world for the white woman who subconsciously enjoys breaking the racial barrier taboo.

This interracial way of life isn’t just being into black guys, but also something that one deeply believes in. It is an acknowledgement that she, as a white woman, prefers black men with the symbol
literally tattooed onto her skin.

Of course, not all women in Second Life (like myself) wears this tattoo entirely for that kind of meaning. I do enjoy men regardless of their ethnicity, race or culture. I have always found black men attractive, intelligent and lots of fun to be with.

I guess you might say I am colorblind when it comes to preferences.
I'm a pretty open-minded person, and as such, I also enjoy new experiences in all forms.

In my personal life, I enjoy my submissive moments in the bedroom.
I love for a man to take charge and just tell me what to do.

That gives me so much pleasure and I love it!

And here in Second Life, there are no boundaries to our imagination when it comes to satisfying our deepest inner flirts, desires and passions. That said, playing out your fantasy as a Queen of Spades provides you with more strength than you can imagine.

The OZ Nightclub Celebrates Its Renovation this Friday Match 4th @ 7 PM

The classic movie musical "The Wizard of Oz" is a
testament to the talent and imagination of Hollywood.

The magic of this quintessential musical movie served as the
inspiration for the OZ Nightclub in Second Life created in May of 2012 by Ty Tenk and Truck Meredith, the creators of Calas Galadhon Park

As Calas Galadhon Park's formal premier Art Deco Jazz Club at Armenelos, the OZ Nightclub features live music performances
by some of Second Life's very best artists with Dancing 24/7.

This coming Friday, March 4th at 7pm slt, they are proudly commemorating the redecorating and updating of OZ Nighclub
with a gala celebration featuring HammerFla Magic performing.

Come see and experience this wonderful event and take pictures in costume with the wonderful stage set created especially for this event.

Using Color to Define Both Space & Beauty

The 1939 MGM musical movie "The Wizard of Oz" was cleverly
filmed in both black/white and Technicolor, revealing the splendor of its stage sets, the story tale regions and costumes used in its filming.

The use of color helped to define for its actors the tale of
Dorothy, the Tin Woodmen, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion
along with a host of other characters in the Land of OZ.

The wonderful graduation from emerald green
to purple on this UniQue BoutiQue Harper Gown defines it as
something magically special, beautiful and Unique.

These same brilliant emerald green and purple colors
follow the same principles of color theory so richly
captured in both the movie and the OZ Nightclub.

Emerald City is the capital city in the magical Land of OZ.

Its majesty stands in the very center of Oz.

The architecture of the OZ Nightclub at Calas Galadhon Park
in Second Life exemplifies the art deco movement in the late 1930s with a panoramic painting of Emerald City in its full glory.

I could not wait to model this gown to complement
the splendor and magic of the OZ Nightclub.

For just like the fabled musical movie and the OZ Nightclub,
this Unique Boutique Harper Gown also brings
magic to the Second Life experience.
