The setting of this destination gem features 14 artists on exhibit and four stores 

complemented by Impressionistic paintings, Art Nouveau art and poster work - 

all on beautiful display within the context of classic French Renaissance 

and Industrial Revolution architecture.

The dance ballroom is stunning. Its design is reminiscent of the 1900 Paris 

World Fair Exposition's Grand Palais which heralded in an era of new 

architectural and technological innovations. 

 

During this period, structural steel replaced the use of iron. 

This was significantly important because it was a better material to use - 

making it ideal for clear spans and glass roofs for natural daylighting purposes. 

With its composition of structural steel, wood and glass,
the Eiffel Tower not only became an icon

in materials, design and construction methods.
