Swank Events June 2020 Introduces GGVG Fashion's SOLID JOIE DRESS - A great time to flaunt your curves in this sexy bodycon

The bodycon dress has become the go to look for a night out.

This GGVG Joie Dress is a direct descendent of those delicious
and rebellious inspirations from the 20th century.

Traveling back in time, the 90’s was the peak of the bodycon dress trend.

It is believed that Herve Leger invented the bodycon which was first called
“the bender” aptly named for how it bent and molded to the figure.

The 1960’s “wiggle dresses” were the forerunners to the slim
bodycon dresses as we see them today.

In the 1950’s the precursor to the wiggle was the “sheath dress.”
It was the figure flattering must have for the modern post war women.

The pinup era was alive and well into the 50’s with movie stars like Marilyn
Monroe and Bettie Page seen flaunting their curves in these sexy sheath’s.

Monroe even wore one with the now popular transparent paneling.

There have been so many influences, iterations and inspirations leading
up to today’s bodycon look. Where the bodycon silhouette
goes from here no one really knows.

History shows us the lessons and possibilities, but the future portends change.

That is the fun part about fashion - for no matter what is trending, fashion is
continually evolving, spreading like wildfire on to yet another hot and delicious trend.
