"Ahh-emm 'cough' (pause)"

"Ladies, gentlemen, (and rabbits), welcome to our Classic w/Style University graduation ceremony, where we now honor the class of March 2013."

Commencement

With all kidding aside, this was just one phenomenal graduation commencement!

Laci Rossini best summarized the excitement and feelings of those graduating as having accomplished a very important step in fulfilling their dream today -

"A dream from which these recent graduates will now move forward and grow with their modeling careers."

The Classic w/Style experience is all about discovering what makes you special, developing your modeling skills, and assisting you in expressing your "individuality" as a model for all of SL to see and appreciate.

Special Thanks & Appreciation

We are also so very grateful to both Sunrae Suntzu and Kiralyn Destiny for picking up the torch to carry forward the rich traditions, spirit and award winning excellence that Classic w/Style is known and respected for in Second Life.

As Sunrae aptly stated, "To the graduating models I say to you, do not consider this the end, consider this your beginning.  To be a top model in SL you will need to continually learn and train.  I hope you will continue to take advantage of the many opportunities we provide to our models and that you will participate in the new opportunities we are adding.  I am so proud of each one of you and I wish you the very best in your career as a model. Congratulations, you are now simply the best and I know you will make us proud."
University Faculty Recognitions:

These ladies have worked so hard and put so much time and effort into creating our class structure, teaching, training, instructing and mentoring our new students in addition to continually mentoring and training our other models who have previously graduated.

They are dedicated, knowledgeable, regimented and continually strive to learn themselves so they can keep us on top and current of everything modeling has to offer in Second Life.

Classic w/Style Presents its March 2013 Bachelors Degree Models:

Ms. Avery Firethorn

With her RL options extremely limited, Avery Firethorn is grateful for the opportunities for setting and achieving goals on SL.  One of Avery's most enjoyable aspects of her years as an SL DJ was choosing fashions suitable for each appearance, amassing a sizeable wardrobe.

Modeling seemed a way to elevate her love of fashion, as well as providing opportunities for new goals and achievements.  Currently Avery is a student at University of Classic With Style, and treasures the friendships she has made, in addition to the new skills she is learning.  She looks forward to continuing to better her skills as a model, with the encouragement and support of her 3 cherished SL daughters, Courtney, Alice, and Avagail.

Ms. Ebony Scorpio (Class Valedictorian)

Ebony Scorpio~Baxton, rezzed into Second life, 2/16/10.  She first started working at Honey 103 Radio Station as a Hostess/administrative assistant.  She married Java Baxton, and to this union, Jaelee Marie Baxton was born.  She always enjoyed fashion, but one day was invited to attend a fashion show, and couldn't stop thinking about learning more. So, in March of 2013,  she became a student at UCWS. Learning a lot of great things.  She loves people, and has a genuine interest in helping others. She hopes one day love to be a Super Model.

Ms. Laura Reverie

Laura Reverie was rezzed on February 6, 2010 and she began her SL journey taking classes, exploring beautiful sims, and meeting new friends. She was discovered by a photographer while shopping for the finest in SL, and she trained at the University of Classic w/ Style in the March 2013 class.

As an upcoming model, she is a first-time contestant in the 2013 Ms. America Photo Contest and she recently won her first CWS styling competition. Laura is in awe of the incredible work that so many designers have brought into this world, and this feeds her passion for modeling and photography. She aspires to be among the great models that she looks up to and learns from, and would sincerely like to thank the CWS staff for their gracious attention and support throughout her training.

Ms. Rainy Sweetheart

Rainy Sweetheart bounced into second life and hit the ground running. (Boing! Boing!  - so resilient you know).

She was determined to make something spectacular of herself and modeling was at the top of her list. she spent her early days learning all the basics of avatar skills, such as not losing your feet and how to land a job. she learned about CWS through a close talented friend and grabbed onto the chance. She hopes to be a designer specifically in avant garde and chic. Taking Second Life by the horns, this is a girl ready to show everyone what she is made of - fun, fierce and brilliant!

Classic w/Style Presents its March 2013 Doctorate Degree Models:

Mr. Zigrich Zsigmond

Zigrich Zsigmond was born in December of 2006. Along his path here in Second Life, he has attended many schools here. deep inside him, Zig has always has a strong passion and desire to become a super model.  Well, Zig ... you certainly have that opportunity now!  Zig has also worked with TMA Creation at the Brasov City as a Live Model in store (SL), and he has also opened a furniture store called PARADISE FURNITURE.

Through his passion and dedication, Zig continues to accomplish many of good deeds. As a footnote, Zig is also a finalist in "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" this month. A humble man, yet very proud of his accomplishments, he has received many style contest awards at UCSW - while always knowing that his participation excels him to yet another higher level in fashion, while striving to become 'Simply The Best.'

Ms. Summit Beaumont

Summitt will celebrate her 6th rez-day in SecondLife on  July 4th.  She received her Master's Degree November 2012.  Since graduation she has been in many fashion shows at Classic with Style and enjoyed every minute of it while meeting many designers, fellow graduates and current students enrolled at the University.

Summitt's goal is to absorb all the information she can under the tutelage of great instructors as she prepares for her career as a runway or print model.

Her long term goal is to one day being able to teach her learned knowledge to other future models at Classic with Style.  Simply the Best!

CWS: Styling Avant Garde

Mr. Zigrich Zsigmond

Can you believe this man!! Wow!  Who is his hair stylist anyway? He is wearing a beautifully handcrafted Angel headdress by A&A.  It is so classy and it adds just the right touch of class and complement to complete his out fit.

His Avant Garde statement reflects the epitome of elegance, taste, charm, and refinement with sensational flamboyance.  With the look of a white King Angel in flight, his apparel features some decorative, contrasting white stripes. with smooth silver lace material defined by various subtle wrinkles, layers, folds and shades.  I love this necklace on Zig. Its complements  his Avant Garde theme nicely.

Ms. Laura Reverie

OMG!  I am so jealous!! Laura is wearing this stunning Leonie dress by Pipins that I would kill for!  Angiliak Crystal created this gown as part of her Phantom range. Through some substitutions, Laura decided to take this dress in an even more avant direction. Yet she believes that it still honors the duplicitous elegance that the designer had intended. (I can't pronounce "duplicitous" little know what it means exactly.  Oh well, it is one of those $25 words that I need pursed away in my inventory for a rainy day,  LOL).

Anyway, she crafted an interplay of opposites in the design of this gown. Seemingly angular, hard, and rigid in its many intersecting shapes, this silver and gold toned gown suggests a metallic look, reflecting light off its shining surfaces. On the other hand, its forms are also slightly curved and rounded, implying more of an organic and fluid nature.

The Aphrodite necklace and bracelet in silver by Finesmith echo the cyber flower-like quality of the dress's large petal forms and extending curls. The tightly fitting jewelry has metallic looking orchids on either side with dangerously curved spikes extending from their centers. It addresses the question of whether this outfit has the elegant sweetness of a flower, or if it is dangerous and more violent in nature.

Ms. Rainy Sweetheart

"The Ice Queen cometh in her frost and rule. Hail to the speaker, Hail to the knower, Joy to him who has understood.
Delight to those who have listened
with flowing gown whiter then the surrounding drifts, all sides draping her statuesque figure crowned with dagger point spikes adding to her fierce presence.

Mortal souls tremble as her diamond white stilettos strike the earth. Eyes staring and piecing the heavy winter snow."

Ms. Avery Firethorn

Emerging from the deep sea to present her Avant Garde fashion ensemble, Avery presents this expression of art as fashion.

This innovative gown by Precious Restless of Boudoir depicts schools of fish swimming about an underskirt constructed of ruffles of shimmering sea water, with an overskirt of seafoam above.  A water splash prim adds realism and a touch of whimsy, and a glistening spray of water forms the bodice.  Shoulder and head ornaments are fashioned of crystallized water droplets, bubbles of animated water, and beautiful creatures of the sea.

Each element of her ensemble is a work of art by itself.  Combined they create a look any land-visiting mermaid would want to wear to the ball.

Ms. Summit Beaumont

Summitt has selected an impressive Origami dress by Joy Fellini.  The attention to detail showing the paper folds of the Japanese art is prevalent in this lovely gown.  The hairpiece is included with the gown.  She has added Vanity hair, N-core shoes and Finesmith jewelry to complete the outfit.

Fellini Couture - Origami
Vanity Hair - Bonetta HP Black
N-Core Shoes - Tribute (white)
Finesmith - Nova Earth

Ms. Ebony Scorpio

Ebony is wearing pastel colors - pink, blue, purple, with a touch of white. Her top is funky with boxed top, and a round collar.  She is wearing a short skirt with stripes, leaving some sexieness with her stomach exposed.

Ebony also is wearing half stockings topped with pastel color circles.  Her shoes are hot pink with spikes in the back.  Her hair is wild with two pony tails, adorned with a beautiful pearl decoration.  She finishes it off with a beautiful mask with awesome jewels, and a matching bracelet. Her Funky Look makes her want to  party and to show off her stuff!

Wow!  Was that very impressive or what?   This is just a small example of what the CWS students learn at our University.  If you attend our events and fashion shows you will see what fabulous models we have here.  Each one is highly trained and accomplished. We challenge you to come and join in on such fun with fashion and become "Simply The Best!"

Becky Wearing Janitor Chic -
Mop by Sears, Bucket from Ace Hardware Store

"Oh, so everyone leaves now? Is that it?

Holy Flamenco Dung!

Who is going to help me pick up all of this confetti, anybody?  What about the bird droppings and the gum that Rainy stuck on the seats here? Am I responsible for that sticky mess also? Pfft!"
