While most people in RL can only fantasize about living on an island, here in Second Life,

Aside from all of the fun things we do here as Diva Fashionistas, our
island sanctuary in Second Life is a source of both inspiration and function. 

This far, far, far away place is truly a “peace of mind” kind of nirvana.

 It is where our spirits and fantasies playfully weave together.  

It is a palm tree island paradise sim - comprised of approximately 70% water,
a large central lagoon with scattered atolls, man-eating sharks, large waves
for surfing, a girly mermaid cove and a mountaintop villa. 

Modern south seas cabanas kiss the strands of shoreline, complete with boat
docks, boardwalks, lighthouse, a sailboat, sand hearts and jet skis.

This seems like a fairly obvious point, but it wasn’t until we were able to engage in our
favorite beach activities to fully appreciate and realize how wonderful our SL home is.

Living on an island with the right outdoor amenities is the best thing ever. 

So, when considering outdoor living amenities, it’s always important to pay attention to the details which ultimately make the difference between a blasé and spectacular lifestyle. 

Of course, other critical design features like colors, textures and furnishings
are also very important. Collectively, they will make the difference between a
bright and fun place versus a beautiful but boring one.

That said, we searched under our couch cushions, broke open our piggy banks and
started collecting our loose change to purchase our outdoor living amenities.

As with a painting, fashion is relevant to our culture’s appreciation as a true art 
form - for it mirrors the habits and tastes of our times both past and present. 

Fashion is also an artifact of culture which teaches us about societies’ histories. 

However, there is a line between fashion and canvas art.  Regardless
of whether it is here or in RL, fashion is a cultural art which is intrinsically 

woven into our lives as a fluid, non-static form of personal expression.

I believe that there is both beauty and a message here from the Angels amongst all of us.

preoccupied with what others may think of us, who we should be, do or become.

Often, people feel the need to withdraw from the world for a time because they sense deep within themselves that their lives have become terribly unbalanced - yet they don’t know what to do to correct the matter. I think that is why many of us come here into Second Life. For some, SL  tends more to become an opiate rather than the cure to finding balance. 

Allowing yourself to step back from your real life and into Second is okay too, so long as 

you can use SL to fulfill a sense of purpose. I come here to write and create beauty.

I also enjoy sharing my passions on fashion, while maintaining a 

sense of value & appreciation to those around me. 

The big picture for me is the fact that we are all a part of God’s infinite universe. 

Not having this fundamental understanding only serves to disrupt our energy fields 

and obscures our purpose driven existence – regardless whether it is in RL or here in SL. 

I think that my Angel whispers to me to examine carefully all the areas of 

my life which are the most important and come from the heart.

"God does not view things the way men do. People look on the outward appearance, 
but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7)

My Angel serves to remind me that the God’s menu for Life is truly abundant. Opening
your heart to God begins this wonderful journey for God is the truth, the light & the way. 

So take a deep breath and simply ask yourself what you really want in life. 

 Asking for God’s forgiveness and to come into your life takes the burden of 

the world and it’s worldly misconceptions off of your shoulders 

and places it squarely on God’s shoulders. 

Over time you will find that your days are much less stressed and there is 

a greater sense of balance and peace in your life. It becomes purpose driven. 

This will be reflected in everything that you do, no matter how ordinary it 

may appear to be or complicated it may become. 

Understanding that you are loved by God and accepting
him into your heart is all that really matters.

SWANK Event's City of Angels April '18 Premiers the JUMO Violet Gown - Complementing Your Tropical Lifestyle

My journey to Second Life began in March of 2010, when I left IMVU and came here 

upon the recommendation of a friend. Since then I have enjoyed relaxing 

and playing on the many strands of beaches here in Second Life. 

One might say that there is something quite indulgent and magically Peter Pan-Like about 
living on an Island Paradise here in Second Life. On my private side here 

in this world, I have been living on this very same island now for over 7 years. 

 The truth is, I simply love it!

A dear friend followed me here by the name of Christiane. We decided to build a 

dream paradise together and developed Sunset Lovers Paridisio

which serves as our very own respite from both RL and SL worlds. 

Here there are no traffic lights, no angry people inside their cars, no freeways to fight or loud neighbors - Just a beautiful azure-colored ocean full of amazing scenery, ever-changing sky patterns with complementary sunrises, sunsets and absolute serenity. 

It is a palm tree island paradise sim comprised of approximately 70% water with a large 

central lagoon with man-eating sharks, large waves to surf, a girly mermaid cove, 

a mountaintop villa and a Indonesian styled beach bungalow and reef cabana 

complete with docks, boardwalks, a sailboat and jet skis.

Along with our griefer acquisition targeting and shoot-down countermeasures, 

our ongoing crazy antics and severely demented sense of self-deprecating humor, 

we call this serene and stress-free island habitat our home. All in all,
Christaine tolerates my boyfriends and puts up with my eccentric passion for fashion.

Along this journey, she has taught me humility and caring. She is by far the most 

honest and shining person that I have had the honor and the privilege to know 

here in Second Life. She is a woman that I admire, love and trust. 

That said, I can’t really think of ever living in a more fun-loving and nurturing 

environment than this. As a model and writer here in Second Life, this Island 

serves as a retreat which provides me with a sense of place to explore my 

creative energies and purposes both here and in RL.

This JUMO Violet Gown that I am modeling speaks to me in a way that 

soothes my spirit and complements my lifestyle here. It comes with two 

HUD driven menus - giving you 25 color/textures options for the dress and 

20 different color/texture options for the feathered earrings. (I am spoiled.)

The attention to detailing on this gown is both superbly and magnificently executed. 

I love the two piece cross-strapped design and the sheer patterned skirting just 

above the knees which flows so elegantly as you sashay along the sand.
